You could be forgiven for having stars in your eyes with the micro trend of the moment taking hold of the high street. Although stars have been around for a while now this season they’ve been taken to the next level and all things celestial.
As with all things trend a great way to get a taste of it into your wardrobe is to grab an accessory. Jewellery is the place where celestial really took hold.
One of my favourite brands, Soru, is a master in this area, so hard to choose from their beautiful range but my favourite celestial pieces has got to be their Moonstone Star centre ring, which makes a statement. If you want to be more subtle then head of their delicate bracelets (choose from opal and star or moonstone and moon).
If you are not sure about that level of commitment Lovisa’s range is brilliantly affordable and you can even work 2 trends in one with their red sunburst earrings
The moon and stars come out to play with this gorgeous pendant stocked by Lilac Rose.
If jewellery isn’t really your thing try a handbag, New Look’s black star embellished clutch will bring a starry slant to any outfit.
As we head toward bonfire night, the night sky is acting as a print to rival florals, over at Topshop it’s in the form of this wrap dress, the v neckline being a flattering choice for hourglass and strawberry shapes. However it is a touch on the short side so definitely one to be paired with opaques, knee high boots or even over jeans.
Get your starburst with the length of the season – the midi, M&S skirt ticks the boxes and can be dressed down – M&S – dress down with trainers as well as up.
More comfortable in jeans and a tee? You haven’t been left out And Other Stories have a galactical print tee which works just as well as any logo tee.
If you just want a slight nod to the look then your failsafe is this great cashmere jumper by Luella (also stocked at Lilac Rose), cosy and smart and makes you the star of the show.
Would love to see what’s making you starry eyed and how you are getting involved in this trend.
